My Etsy shop is closed, at least for now. I recently learned that some fraudulent charges were made to my bank account via my PayPal account which I only use for Etsy transactions. While I straighten everything out, I have closed my shop at least for the time being. I'd also like to use this time to take a little break from the shop, and reconsider what items I offer.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to mention that despite these recent events, which should be resolved, I have had a very positive experience as an Etsy seller over the past year. I have earned some nice supplemental income and made friends with other sellers and customers along the way! Etsy offers sellers the option to re-open a closed shop, and I have that in mind for the future. Until then, if you attempt to visit my shop, Etsy will redirect you to my Etsy profile page.
I sincerely thank everyone who has supported my shop through purchases, reviews, Etsy Treasuries, Twitter and blog promotions, and kind words of support. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have had several friends who have had issues with PayPal (non related to Etsy).
And know we love what you do!
That really stinks! You have a great/wise attitude about it though. I hope that things work out well for you as you figure out where you want to go from here.
ReplyDeleteUgh - that is such a hassle! I was a victim of a fraudulent SELLER last year on Etsy when I tried to get a halloween costume made. It all worked out but it was a pain! Good luck!
